In 1872, the Pure Sweets kitchen was a Methodist Episcopal church kitchen feeding the hungry congregations of East Falls, Philadelphia. There is a history of love, kindness and generosity within these walls. The neighborhood has been home to campgrounds of the American Revolution and Civil War, the world’s first medical school for women and the childhood home of glamorous Grace Kelly. The Princess of Monaco began her acting career at The Old Academy just up the block from the kitchen.
Built in the Greek Revival and Italianate styles, 3580 Indian Queen Lane now houses the Pure Sweets kitchen which is gluten-free, kosher, vegan and organic. If a product or ingredient fails to meet the strictest gluten-free, vegan or kosher standards, it doesn't enter. We like to keep this space a cruelty-free zone (for our furry friends and those with food sensitivies).
A medium once told Andrea that two of her past lives are still influencing her today. One was an Indian queen widely known for her healing powers and the other a pioneering physician pushing boundaries. Coincidence? Who really knows! Either way, Andrea continues the journey to bridge wellness and innovation through healthy, delicious sweets.
